I need a "The Crazy Things I See In Africa" list!

So, I'm sitting outside checking to see if you all are reading our blog and a kid just walked by in a full on neck to feet snowsuit!  You know the one piece downy kind that kids wear.  Probably 6 years old. Crazy thing is, it's prob 65 degrees!!!  I'm in a sleeveless dress!  WTH!  Nuts that they think it is cold here!  That's all I have to say about that.  Happy Sunday all!!

Good Sunday morning! I bet you see some amazing things, and the boy in the snow suit is really funny. Who would think that anyone in Africa would even have a snowsuit? I know we tend to think simplistically with lots of stereotypes, such as "Africa is always hot", so it's been interesting to see you all wearing long sleeves and sometimes jackets in the pictures. Glad to know it's not hot there for you. It's a beautiful 59 and cloudy in Iowa today and I have all the windows open. Beautiful day, wonderful world! Looking forward to the next post and more pictures! BTW, the pics of the kids in the tree are SO good, Roxy and Grace's poem is perfect! Good job on the flying termite swatter, McGyver, and I'm wondering how you get eggs home from the market over a 45 minute bumpy drive. I'm guessing they don't supply you with little styrofoam cartons like I get here at HyVee.... just wondering! Love to you all.

Loved the poem. Thinking maybe Roxie should give up her day job and take up writing. Will there be a McDonalds or some other fast food you can enjoy when you get to S. Africa? Hopefully you all can hang on that long! Dad says your pictures look like you are having a good time. Can't wait to hear more stories. We are thinking of you. Love to you all, Mom and Dad
